P.E.T. is ideal for use on fluorescent tube lamps of all sizes, outputs and applications. Unique properties of P.E.T. include U.V. protection against yellowing, fading and clouding. P.E.T. is extremely strong, puncture resistant and lightweight. It is applied to the fluorescent tube by Norman’s custom developed and automated process which is capable of producing up to 2,000 coated 4 foot tubes per hour or up to 1,000 coated 8 foot tubes per hour.
Norman’s exclusive process completely and securely encapsulates the entire glass tube including the end caps. In the event breakage, the glass, phosphors, and mercury remain trapped within the P.E.T. protective envelope. The lamp can then be safely removed and disposed of properly with no harm to people or surroundings.
